Hey I am always up for listening to a super indie super tight electro-pop-rock band. Can’t have too many pairs of sneakers right? Do you know there is one blog I like better than Blouse and that is James Murphy’s blog on the LCD Soundsystem MySpace. He could update it more frequently and maybe use some exotic fonts but everything else is perfecto.

Awesome New Republic are only new to me I think. I am many millions of years behind Stereogum and Pitchfork who are totally into the two-piece from Miami. There's flashes of Oasis, Friendly Fires, Jamie Lloyd and Hot Chip in them. Wikipedia has all the important info.... In 2008, they were featured as a center piece in a New York Times article about the budding Miami music scene which hailed them as "one of the newest exponents of this growing tropical bohemia." Awesome New Republic uses Twitter actively.
Their new album Hearts comes out TODAY!
