A good way to start anything - especially a weekend - would be to listen to Gadi Mizrahi's take on Seth Troxler's track "Love Never Sleeps". It has all the bombastic percussion you'll (probably) ever need - plus ethereal synths and a heavy, mysterious vibe.
excellent:
Seth Troxler - Love Never Sleeps (Gadi Mizrahi Remix)
Taken from the fantastic "Rebel Rave" triple disc mixtape put out by Crosstown Rebels about a year ago. Grab it here.
Taking it up a notch is this Maurizio (aka Basic Channel) track "Domina" from '93.. Classic, genre defining minimal techno with some really heavy sub bass and nice throwback synths and handclaps.
Maurizio - Domina (Maurizio Mix 1)
If you haven't had the chance to listen to Carl Craig's take on this song, then you should really look to do so now.. Highly recommended for your next Sunday couch sesh.
You can pick up the full "Domina" release here.
