oh ha ha

i really wish i could work out how i could do a french laugh in writing language..
maybe in the meantime i could do a very french stylee post?

im not sure if y'all will remember but last christmas (i think) there was a bit of.. cafuffle.. about a track that was posted on the daft punk forum by a mysterious stranger named T.B.... everyone thought that Mr Bangalter himself had made the track (entitled 'Love') for his many numerous fans..
although the track was of the highest high quality, it turned out that a fellow named Louis La Roché was one that had thrown it down..

Louis La Roché - Love

i remember really enjoying that song back in the day.. had it on repeat for many a minute.
im not sure what i expected of the rest of his songs of his EP (The Peach EP), but i think they can safetly be filed away as frenchie house.
although the EP itself gets a bit samey if listened to all together, the songs by themselves are very funky and good. i luff the way that he has layered and cut the vocals up. if your a girl you may like him

Louis La Roché - On The Floor

Louis La Roché - Peach

although these songs are good, i hope that for his album he not only tries to bring french house back but also bring it forward.

Air France are another group taking big steps for france (even though they are actually from Sweden)

Air France - June Evenings

Air France - Collapsing At Your Doorstep

Air France - No Excuses

its hard for me to describe music like this.. i dont think my musical vocabulary extends far enough.. i guess it sort of fits into pop, but it really is much more profound than that. one thing i do know for sure is that i get a massive smile on my face everytime i listen to them..
their last release "Beach Party" perfectly describes their sort of sound: music to soak rays to in a deckchair by the pool in Greece during summer. the best thing about their EP (No Way Down) is the way the tracks work together. eps or albums that work better when listened to all the way through, instead of one song at a time are the best. i have totes been wooed.
nothing iam going to say is going to do Air France or these songs justice- i think ill shut up now (yes my recovery has stretched into tuesday).
