another day, another furiously exciting release from the cascine family. this time it comes in the form of a jensen sportag remix of memory tapes' new single 'wait in the dark'.here, the nashville duo do a great job of planting (at least one of) 'wait in the dark's' feet firmly on the dancefloor with some smoky keys, slinky guitar glissando's and a driving 4/4 backbone. really, really nice:
Memory Tapes - Wait In The Dark (Jensen Sportag Remix)
'wait in the dark' is the debut single from memory tapes' sophomore album 'player piano' which will be released on july 5. preorder through carpark records here.
also, this has been around for a while but if you haven't heard it, definitely pick it up. it's a remix of the ghost eye's track 'phantom mountain' by the enormous shadow. the almost tribal vibe paired with the slow, yet intense build of the synths make one hell of a combo and charge this track up with all kinds of tension..
Ghost Eyes - Phantom Mountain (The Enormous Shadow Remix)
the full 'phantom mountain' ep features other awesome remixes by stopmakingme and minotaur shock, as well as the superb original. grab it here.
