Passion Pit's EP from December, Chunk of Change, was kinda shit. Mixtape vibe with Muscles written all over it. Kitsch, shouty electro-pop that is fun to sing a long to for ten seconds before its shelf life expires and the artist becomes like 100 blog years old and is no longer booked for festivals and tears Ben Lee a new one.
Exhibit A from Chunk of Change: Passion Pit - I've Got Your Number
But will Passion Pit avoid the Muscles syndrome and actually bring out an artistic and electronically imaginative debut album in May? The Reeling says so - a classy, post-disco jam from the forthcoming album Manners that goes down smooth. Hay ho brother hurry up and get your album out.

And surely it's a good sign when someone does a bizarro avant-garde re-work of your shit, like this Emil & Friends take on another track from the forthcoming album. No one did that for Muscles. It's even more bizarre than when The Flaming Lips did that Madonnna song. Seriously, is that a harpsicord?

Soz muscles, lovey you, you're pretty good looking too x
