Here is Alax Braxe & Fred Falke's 'Intro' which is probably my favourite dance song of ever&ever. Digging up this vid was like finding a skittle in the bottom of a backpack.
I remember hearing a sample of it on Never Mind The Buzzcocks last year and got really excited. Not sure why.
The clip makes no sense either.

Oooh, i'm at the low point of Friday afternoon before realising it's the weekend. This video has helped. Does it help you?

my head still hurts from my weekend in canberra. f'ing shit. hear the sirens? thats french house to the rescue yo.
Alan Braxe & Fred Falke - Bliss
i was recently discovered that fred falke and alan braxe had parted ways. i must admit that i was dumbfounded when told. what a tragedy! and how the hell did this news get past me- i love those guys
i reckon bliss is one of the most glamourous songs that they produced.. with all the high pitched synths and flutes, i guess it could be best called french disco.
while i love what these guys are putting out post-split, i think it's quite obvious that they did their best work together. (sobs)
Le Knight Club - Rhumba
ive always loved le knight club for their ethereally tropical sort of vibe.. so funky, yet so..... french. plus, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo was/is in the lineup. amazing.

there was a time once upon a time when i listened to a version of a song called 'at night' by shakedown quite a bit. the mix i loved was by afterlife, but recently a bunch of unreleased 'at night' remixes have been set free.. not all of them are my cup of tea but this version by shiny is pretty ok.. a bit of a vhs or beta fred falke mix vibe with a bit more electroness..
Shakedown - At Night (Shiny Remix)
even if you dont know 'at night', you probably recognise the vocal.. ive heard it pretty much everywhere. it also seems like loads of people have tried their hand at remixing it as well. alan braxe was one of these people and turned up with typically awesome results..
Shakedown - At Night (Alan Braxe Remix)
and just for old steve's memory's sake:

word on the street (and on youtube) was that his good buddy fred falke played bass over 'intro' whilst djing here earlier in the year..
time for al braxe to step up then. maybe (probably) he'll will get on the mic and do the chanting live.
he only has two shows left in australia so if your in canberra tonight or sydney tomorrow, go and check this *god of french house* out y'all
