i hope that this signals a new, more mature direction for Mike Skinner.. not that i dont like his signature old geezer-grime, but 'The Escapist' seems so much more.. grand. apparently this song was written for a new movie by Rupert Wyatt but was dumped in favour of a Coldplay song
this song really touched me cos it really feels as if he opens up in the lyrics.. or maybe that was just the epic beat making his vocals sound that much more important. who knows.

Eagerly awaiting a new album. The last album was so offensively juvenile and Mike somehow lost his art. I look forward to an intelligent, mature return in the vein of Original Pirate Material and, to a lesser extent, the sophomore.
This sounds to be a step in the right direction.
