im going to go out on a limb here and say that parts two and three didn't quite live up to the narrative, cinematic or even musical quality of part one.. i especially think that i expected a little more from part three - some kind of reality to the violence, maybe a twist at the end or more of an intelligent resolution. what do you think?

either way, it has been an enjoyable series - one i'll definitely be rewatching.

im sure that i wouldnt be alone in thinking that russ chimes is one of the most impressive producers out there at the moment. he has always been one of my favourites, but his latest bunch of releases have seen a continuous stepping up of his game.
the blog house days are clearly far behind him - he has gained a more refined, intelligent outlook on composition and the slickness in his production has developed astonishingly.

this video - which is part one of a series of three short clips which he is releasing in the lead up to his debut ep 'midnight club' - is one of the most exciting things i have seen in a while.
every part of production has been executed so perfectly. the song may be one of his best - strongly melodic, but restrained and carefully paced. and the video is something else: strikingly beautiful visuals & cinematography, and an intriguing, unique presentation of the story that sucked me in and had me watching until the very last second. compelling listening and viewing.

a new russ chimes remix has been out for three weeks and somehow it has only been shared once.. am i missing something? is russ chimes out of vogue? unless his entire audience has been transformed into cold, emotionless robots i dont understand how this song could as under the radar as it is currently.

so yea no work.. no tiredness after said work.. no shitty food because im too tired to make said food.. (no dell..) all ive got is sleep-ins, wii, beach, a touch of footy, mad perth-ness.. and russ chimes on fri.. besssstttt

i missed russ chimes at candys last weekend but am stoked to be seeing him this saturday at shape in perth.. s t o k e d.. hopefully everyone in the world that is into 80s-ish uplifting electro house has heard him and/or his songs.. they are AWESOME.
he has been a bit of blog favorite for ages and has probably been featured on like every blog, but here- let me join the party.. i would prefer not to, but cos im seeing him soon im getting kinda excited.

so will ive been chillaxing on my little mini holiday i have had the chance to watch the ever.......... awesome...... video hits.. i think it seems like the music on such shows and etc has gone away from gay rnb and what not and more into bands and what not.. cut copy and presets are also riding the waves of this electro rock phase... am i a jealous/bad person for getting cranky when i see cut copy on rove or over hearing the the presets on some baby wannabe hipsters ipod?? hmmm?

THING THAT HAVE ANNOYED ME RECENTLY:

- my headphone cable getting wrapped around the armrest of my chair and which then makes my headphones fall off my desk when i pull my chair out.
- having a cold and waking up in the middle of the night gasping because my nose is blocked.
- any form of goat. especially the mountain variety. actually thats not true i just hate the mountain goats.
- dj 'mixtapes', 'demos' or 'promos' that arent beatmatched.
- people trying to be tough and making points.
- hearing people eat apples.
- not having money with which to purchase food or entry into entertainment venues.
- blog music like hostage and the usually awesome boy 8-bit
